Bishop Melvin H. Pickering

.

Invitation to Traditional Episcopalians.
Dateline:  Las Cruces, New Mexico August 6, 2003.

Conservative Bishop Melvin Pickering has vowed to welcome Episcopalians seeking to affiliate with the Anglican Diocese of the Good Shepherd and Anglican Church International Communion across the USA.  "ACIC is a body of Christ that has not abandoned the historic and true faith as held in the Anglican Church for centuries," said Bishop Pickering last evening after the announcement by the press of the approval of the new gay bishop of New Hampshire.  "Recent action to affirm the election of a practicing homosexual as a Bishop in the Episcopal Church was expected," said Bishop Pickering, "by this action they have renounced Biblical teachings."

Bishop Pickering, the former Suffragan Bishop of the ADSW, ACI was elected the Ordinary of the newly formed Anglican Diocese of the Good Shepherd two and a half years ago for the purpose of giving Episcopal coverage to conservative Episcopal and Anglican churches throughout the United States.  Two years ago the Anglican Church International Communion was formed with Bishop Johnson, Anglican Church of Virginia, serving as the first President of the College of Bishops.  Bishop Pickering is the 2003 President of the ACIC College of Bishops.  ACIC consists of Bishops from America, Australia, India and Haiti.  Major growth is expected over the next year, according to Bishop Pickering.

Those wanting to join a local congregation in ACIC should contact Bishop Pickering by email. mpickmhp@aol.com. When a parish needs to be formed to serve the people Eight ACIC Bishops in the United States are ready to assist.
